After a staff member is removed from your Reservio business, their personal Google Calendar events may still appear in your Reservio calendar as blocked time. This article explains why it happens and how to fix it.
Why this happens
When a staff member connects their Google Calendar to Reservio, they grant Reservio permission to read events from their Google account. This permission is stored on Google's side, not inside Reservio.
When you delete the staff member from your business in Reservio, the staff record is removed — but the access token Google holds is not automatically revoked. Until Google's connection is removed, Google may continue pushing calendar events to the (now stale) connection, and those events can still show up in your Reservio calendar.
The fix is for the former staff member to revoke Reservio's access directly in their Google Account.
Important: Only the staff member whose Google account is connected can perform these steps. As the business admin, you cannot do this on their behalf — you'll need to share these instructions with them.
How to revoke Reservio's access in Google
The former staff member should:
Sign in to their Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com.
In the left-hand menu, click Security.
Scroll down to Your connections to third-party apps & services (on some Google accounts this section is called Third-party apps with account access).
Click See all connections.
Find Reservio in the list and click it.
Click Delete all connections you have with Reservio (or Remove access).
Confirm by clicking Confirm in the dialog.
Once access is revoked, Google immediately stops sharing calendar events with Reservio, and the stale events will stop appearing in your Reservio calendar.
Tip: If you no longer have contact with the former staff member and events continue to appear, contact Reservio support — we can help clean up the stale connection from our side.
What to do before deleting a staff member (prevention)
To avoid this situation in the first place, ask the staff member to disconnect their Google Calendar inside Reservio before you remove their staff profile. They can do this in Settings > Calendar synchronization in their Reservio account.
