Tips for preventing forgotten bookings

  1. Send automatic booking reminders

    Remind your clients via email and reiterate the agreed time and location before the booking takes place. With the right settings, the system will always automatically send a message to clients at the time you choose.

  2. Reassure clients of the booking via SMS

    If you want to make sure your clients won't forget, choose the premium SMS messaging feature for sending reminders. According to surveys, the open rate is higher for SMS than for email. To start sending automatic SMS reminders, you need to have one of our premium plans active and one of our SMS packages purchased. SMS reminders can reduce missed bookings by up to 75%.

  3. Customize the text of reminders

    Communication with customers is very important. That's why the Standard and Pro plans allow service providers to customize the text of reminders. You can add your details about an upcoming booking, which will not only avoid forgetting but also avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.

  4. Set up a booking rule

    One of the most common reasons why clients forget their event is that they made the booking long time ago. Therefore, set a time when the earliest and latest your clients can create bookings before the appointment.

    In the Online booking - SetupBooking rules, pay attention to the very first item. Click on the drop-down list under “No sooner than” and select a custom value from 1 to 360 days. Similarly, select a value between 5 minutes and 60 days for “No later than”.

  5. Block clients who repeatedly fail to show up

    None of the previous points have worked for some clients? Consider whether it's even worth letting them continue booking your services if they repeatedly forget their appointment. You can block these forgetful clients and then focus on more responsible clients who bring you more revenue.
